Aaaw. How cute!
That reminds me so much of my childhood where I would spend weeks upon weeks alone with my maternal grandfather. He had a neighbour with an elkhound. Once a week his neighbour would drive into town to shop. He didn't want to leave his elkhound outside the stores or in the car so he took him to us first. I always got a bar of chocolate called Kexchoklad and he brought dry feed called Frolick with him to his dog. I thought that was very unfair and always shared my chocolate with the dog and took some of his frolick to even it out. Not that it tasted great but I didn't want to be impolite….
