Wow yeah, it’s almost… too real! I don’t know if you intended that, but this characters deadpan/completely undramatic dismissal of his son is both incredibly genuine and unbelievable to me (which says something about how very alive your characters are). I’ve known people like this dolt, hell, I’m fully aware of people (some very powerful) like that now, and they really do have ZERO empathy, waging wars and killing innocents whilst using terms like collateral damage with a completely straight face and nary a hint of irony.
Sorry to get political Trav, I try not to, but it’s just this guy’s attitude is EXACTLY why such things are possible, it’s not even hatred, that would be too human, they just DO NOT care. Very well done though, often characters like this are OTT and cliche’, but this… the lack of drama actually makes it more powerful, well played.
I can't say enough good things about the atmospherics of your art. It's so immersive!
