I was always a huge Stan Sakai fan, and this comics makes me feel like im back at the comic book store sucking down a slushy and reading bad ass comics all day.

You might not have the award, but you have the respect.

stan is fantastic and a good friend. I am so glad you feel that way. I will have to pass this onto him 🙂 he has some great new stuff coming out.

To even be nominated means your combination of imagination and skill and the ability to write a story that holds people attention is far above and beyond that of typical comic artist. When I tell people about amazing stories I find online, The Bean is usually the first I mention.

I'd vote for you! I am not sure I understand the very last frame. Who's doing what?

The grenel just raked Mama across the face with a free claw. Moral: Grenels are not safe to approach, even when tied up.

oh they are a nasty bit of work…. which makes them so dangerous.

Don't worry about winning. The nomination alone is like winning the academy award.

Its hard to tell just which way Bean was running- but my guess is that he saw the creature going for Momma before she did. That kid's got grit…!

he's got grit, yet she gave him a specific direction to go…. the problem i would think is bean might not know where theron is

Hello, I am new in this territory. Actually, I learn about The Bean from Canaan´s Max Overacts website, who described it as a mixture between Bone and The Dark Crystal (he wasn´t exaggerating). I love it! The detailed drawing, the characters´depth … my only minor complaining is the lack of colors and the slow pacing of the plot (altough is impressive how the author manage to handle so many simultaneous scenes at the same time)._I have already my first question prepared…. how really work the weave? I mean, there is not throwing fireballs or teleporting D&D spellcasters, but we have see several uses at this point like enchanted objects (Ganadon´s sword, Red Rock Troll Flame), divination (Gre-nel), living thorns (Gwen´s), etc… Are there rules or limits?

well welcome to my world- 🙂 canaan's work is fantastic as well and i am glad you found me through him.

sorry about the lack of color. My main goal is to finish a very long epic:) I will color it when I am all done. I promise.

now for your question. the weave. The weave's energy is based on race, and the elements. Each race is affected differently. Yet not every one can weave and the weaver itself has the potential to go mad the more they use the weave. It is also like a drug and the user depends more and more on its use. I hope that helps without giving it all away.

As for the pacing. You'll have to read the books and you will understand why.
