Our kickstarter is in full gear now. Since making the initial goal I have set some stretch goals, which one will include the printing of a second book that will ship with book3. Your support makes this story possible and I appreciate that and know that you are the driving force behind my stories. So please throw your support behind the bean. With each pledge you get books, exclusive artwork and your name in the book. Some rewards will even include you as cameo in the book.

More ARTWORK POSTED

If you haven’t noticed I have been posting more artwork on non-comic days. Some of it is bean related and some of it deals with living in one’s imagination. I hope you take a moment and flip through.

I am working really hard at making sure there is constantly something new to see as I work on the story. Please enjoy and also feel free to voice your opinion. My goal is to make this place a community.

Thanks again for supporting my work – Please continue to spread the word about my kickstarter and remember if you can to help it along.

thanks and keep creating-

Ooooh ! Finally we hear news from Fencer … it was page 266, if I am not mistaken, that we saw his last appearance … almost a year ago … well, time rewards those who are patient 🙂

As always, good job, Travis.

I had a small problem with Kickstarter. I'm allergic to intrusive "sign up" requirements. Can I just send you $20 instead? I support the comic and you, just not interested in Kickstarter newsletters and Terms and Conditions that say things like "we reserve the right to change all this any time we please."

That's fine- Since we hit the goal, printing is covered. I will offer a presale option on the beanleafpress store once the book is printed.

    I hope that helps

Fencer seems to have disproportionately long arms in this comic . . . is that a reflection of his Earthdweller heritage?

    trav » 10 Jul 2012 » Reply

    possibly- hadnt realized that

It takes years for the pain an grief of that kind of loss to subside enough to make even the slightest room for another love.

Good to see Spencer and his pappy again, and seeing how the old place is being fixed up.

i think that is forgotten in stories- especial in epic webcomics. Much easier to see in the printed format. I too am glad to see fencer again- though he still hasn't found his pap yet. As for the place being fixed up- earthdwellers are very industrious, so they tend to go right to work- it is in their nature.

Oops! My bad. That isn't his pappy there who is bragging him up. (I wasn't sure and should have gone and checked -sorry) :`D

        trav » 9 Jul 2012 » Reply

no worries- it's because he's short like crimson- those earthdwellers all look alike

Grey Matter » 9 Jul 2012 » Reply

Why is everyone from Heartleaf so short? Or did I miss something somewhere that explained that…?

Also, isn't Ravna a bit old for Fencer? She seems to be, at least to me.

    trav » 9 Jul 2012 » Reply

Actually when the earthdwellers were driven from their underground cities many years ago – they migrated above ground. So a lot of the towns of darkleaf have large earthdweller populations.

As for ravna, she's younger than fencer:) just lived a little harder.

lithicbee » 9 Jul 2012 » Reply

Yay Fencer! And I like seeing how they are renovating this underground city to serve them again. Also, just occurred to me… is there a Ravna/Fencer love connection waiting to happen?

    trav » 9 Jul 2012 » Reply

Fencer is a good kid- As for relationships- you know i don't talk about those- if one develops it develops…. 🙂 but it's only been about a week, since the inn was attacked…. let her have some time before you hook her up 🙂

Have your say!
