First off- i turned 41 on saturday. Kinda surreal. My sweetheart and the kids made the day really nice and yes I even took a day off.

I still am overloaded with work- which is a good thing- so I will make this brief. We are coming up to the end of chapter 10 and will be moving into chapter 11 in the next few weeks.  Thanks again for all the support.

You accidentally lowercased "I" in the sentence, "knowing that i was spared".

Many happy returns on your 41st. Still very much enjoying the ride, after 377 pages!

I'm going to try your inking technique over the weekend. My art supply store wouldn't cut the vellum to size, so I'll have to take care of that myself. We'll see how it goes.

To today's strip: it's amazing how putting your own troubles aside for a moment to help someone else with theirs can make your troubles a little bit easier to bear afterwards. That, plus the stash of chocolates that I just found in the office.

A wonderful message to start the day. Too bad sometimes you help someone who, instead of being grateful and helping others in return, takes what you gave them, says it isn't enough, throws a few insults your way, and leaves you in the lurch. This is why I like books more than people. 🙂

Happy Birthday, Trav! I'm glad you got a day off. You deserve one (and a few more) for all the work you've been doing!

The sentiment he is expressing… it's similar to what my wife and I had to tell ourselves after our first two pregnancies ended in stillbirth. Wow, unexpectedly heavy page this morning.

That is awesome attitude that I wish more people followed. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and help them when I can. I’ve noticed especially while driving that most people are rude and inconsiderate to others on the road, mostly by excessive speed and tailgating. I’ve also noticed that people who tail gate don’t like being tailgated themselves.
