I must say this time I am a bit disappointed with the comics this time. I have been a follower of your posts and love your comics. But, in this post you have not clearly mentioned the actual message that you wish to convey.

I really can't help but be in awe of your storytelling and drawing skills. I mean, it's remarkable how you're able to convey everything in black and white and still gracefully manage to make the images not confusing. Even with all this detail, it's remarkable how I can still see what is what.

why thank you –

Looked like an evil teddy bear until I realized that what I thought was it's left ear was a falling rock.

I'm cool with stalking my art:)
As for your answer…if your will wait a bit, i think it is revealed soon:) I would hate to ruin it though.

Gudday – another fan has come from somewhere on the Internet and decided that the slight mix of ores and humans working a pub together, of scary rhyming goblins and elven half breed boys makes a good plotline, and black-and-white cutaway scenes of confusing multitudes of scenery make a very pleasant viewing experience. I have enjoyed the pace and the depiction of your characters – the idea of a drink brewed by ogres was a grand touch, making a simple dumb character into a deep well resourced intelligent culture that has strength and capabilities of their own. Hey – I like it. Well Done Mr Bean!
Trav the bean » 21 Jun 2010 »
I wanted my races to be unique and not your typical stereotypes. Even though a group of individuals might look dumb I want to prove they are not.
I am glad you are enjoying the adventure and hope to see you around quite a bit. We try to keep the brews well stocked here. So pull up a chair and enjoy.

Just found your comics today and I must say it really impress me.
Your art is easily distinguish and full of details, storyline so far full of tense and you update 3-4 times a week.
You can draw violence in a natural fairy way (odd words to type) and your coloring is incredible dreamy.
You brink me back memories, when I read Elf ´n troll, and then discovered the artists quit them.
So don´t you dare to join him and somehow give it up!
The time, when your comics will have bazilions of fans, and your site will unconquered rule TWC ranking is not far away.
PS: thanks for the "singing troll", he instantly win my hearth ๐
Trav the bean » 21 Jun 2010 »
I am so glad you like my world and my singing troll:)
I am a good friend with a.p.furtado who wrote and illustrated elf n' troll I was sadden as well when he had to stop. Yet I understand why as well. It's hard for web comic illustrators to make a living on a product they give away for free. It actually is a labor of love, yet one has to eat first and pay rent, which is why we encourage people to visit the store and support the artist they enjoy. I have been talking though with a.p. lately and trying to encourage him to get back into the fray- we will see. I love his work as well, hopefully he will reconsider.

Oh yeah… don't think we didn't notice that rope breaking ๐
Trav the bean » 17 Jun 2010 »
๐ i don't presume anything… ๐
Brandon » 17 Jun 2010 »
Well, you're really good with the details, so we have to pay attention ๐ You did a great job of making that an important detail on this page, without making it so overt that it distracts from the scene overall.
Trav the bean » 18 Jun 2010 »
i try – sometimes i struggle with that, but i do like to make my viewers hunt for things. the casual observer just flips through- those that know me stop and really look:)
Scott M » 18 Jun 2010 »
…Actually, I didn't. Thanks for pointing that out! ๐ Definitely a good thing to notice.

Hi Trav~
Been a dA lurker of yours for some time, bought the books and now am caught up to the comic version. As always, I am strapped into this rollercoaster ride! Love the new look to the site and all of the functions you have added for readers to interact.
