Humans are one of the few races (species?) to bear the Blessing of Five that allows them to have five fingers, thanks to the benevolence of the goddess Pentaculisia, or something like that.

Of course, this assumes the sword, itself, has nothing to say in the matter. Since it is underground, it is, if you will, a sword in the stone.

Wow, those last three panels where he stops rhyming. It just chills me with this character. Future comics will tell if he's really the villain. To me though, this really shows him as it. Whoo i got chills.
