All these little transitions from topside to underworld are starting to affect me. Every time I look at a real life hillside now I will feel an unexplainable urge to start digging into it to see if I can find a hidden passage, cave, or city just under the surface! 🙂

Hi Trav,
Stumbled on The Bean a couple of days back, and have just caught up. I'm enjoying the whole thing and will definitely buy the books once I can find some work. The plot, pacing, characters and art are all wonderful, and perfectly compliment each other. There's something slightly Vaughn Bode about your art, and the story itself reminds me of Tad Williams 'Memory, Sorrow, Thorn' books, (that's a compliment, btw). That may just say more about me than your work, because I don't mean it feels derivative, I think the whole thing is fresh and deserving of a full length movie!
I just have one question, which you'll probably answer within the story at a later date; how does the broken moon affect the world, what impact does it have on tides, for example?

Why thank you – I take all of that as a compliment
as for the broken moon – I think it still has effects on the tides and such, because for some reason it still sits in spot and held for the most part still together. I think it might have something to do with the weave…

Yay, underground!

Hope your other projects are going well. I love transitions to the underground. Well the underground in general. Which do you prefer, forest scenes or underground?
I can't say enough good things about the atmospherics of your art. It's so immersive!

the young Hero find “the sword” and must proof himself against a huge Monster. Hmm.. with the last Page i hear the “Bossfight Theme” from Secret of Mana.
