Just a note on this, even minor scalp wounds bleed a lot because of the number of blood vessels under the skin there.

Poor Bean looks a little worse for the wear. On the other hand, if he's found a new friend, then I don't think his kidnapper has much chance of carrying out his threats if the sword doesn't get delivered as demanded.

lol… I can just hear the *blink*blink* sound effects accompanying a slurred "wha happen.."
I'm guessing mebbe the monster saw the 4-fingers and is confused because it also has 4 fingers… hence the sniffing and "What is this… Is this one of me?" vibe..
