Well, you all have gotten to see Siv, the barkeep of the Silver Dagger, in action. It feels good to have the story moving along now and a much faster pace. I hope you can also see why I took my time to get us here. It’s all about crafting a piece of art and I am so looking forward to where it is going.  I am enjoying this.

Anyways almost ready for wondercon- see the wondercon post about where i will be and also I am doing FREE Sketches as usual.

keep creating

I really do love how you've crafted the story along with the art, it makes this one of my favorite webcomics easily just because the story is interesting and I look forward to the reveals. Your art style is amazing and really inspiring.

What is a fighter as good as Siv doing as barkeep for some backwater inn?

i guess you will have to wait and find out:)

My guess is resting/retired, or hiding from his past. Siv seems good enough that he probably has fighters seeking him out to test their mettle against. As you get older and slower, that would probably not be something you would want happening all the time if at all. So he changes the face he presents to the world. Think of it as early period Social Engineering. Dress and act like a bar-keep and you are no longer a great swordsman, instead you are a bar-keep and the fighting you do is maintaining order in a bar. he probably doesn’t need to poke holes in as many people so any amazing things he does, could get ruled out as luck, rather than skill. Of course he should he not do many of them. to help keep the cover.

It is fortunate that an army is slow moving. Siv might be fast but he's injured. Kind of worried about that, he really needs to get to a healer. I really like the cute little creature in the low right corner. What is that?

Love the pacing – reminds me a lot of what Eisner taught.

Eisner was a great story teller. I love that he never pushed the in your face all action no depth story. He seemed to treat the story like a piece of art that constantly grew and improved the more he worked on it. I am strong believer in taking your time to establish before your jump into it. I am glad it shows through

I love the rate at which you're posting new pages at the moment. Keep up the good work. It's a great story and great art. And I like the subtle evil tree face in the middle panel of 225.
