Kind of a late comment, here … A month late, even. But I wanted to let you know I was really happy to see you at ECCC. Surprised, even, that you recognized my work and stopped to say hello. It is a regret of mine that I didn't come find you, buy a book, get a sketch. ;_; I'm pretty sure ECCC is the only con at which our paths converge.

Oddly, I don't really buy that many webcomics (I SHOULD) but yours is one I really want to own in print. Since there are so many issues of it out now, do you have plans to make a graphic novel? Probably a frequently asked question there…

Nice question C! A graphic novel would be cool!

Oh and I like this panel a lot. It's very cool to get a bit of background on Siv and I like what Siv did at the crossroads. 🙂

I am planning to bound them up in a series of graphic novels later- books 1 to 5 etc….

glad you like the little background on siv.

it was really nice to see you as well. It was a very busy show for both us. There will be more shows to get a free sketch.

As for a graphic novel, it will be a series of graphic novels i just have to do the graphic books first

I want to recommend a comic, because I am sure you'll really appreciate both the art and the story–EXTREMELY different, but wonderful in a different way from your lovely work. http://www.freakangels.com/?p=23
BTW-started reading today and had to get all the way to here without going to bed!

A clue to Siv's past! (DUN DUN DUUUNNNN) And I really like seeing this side of him, too. I so hope he makes it in time!

On a sillier note, his cape flying out behind him looks a little bit Batman-ish to me….NANANANANANANANANA SIV-MAN!!!

Rocco » 4 Apr 2011 » Reply

I see what you did there with the crossroads!

    Celidah » 4 Apr 2011 » Reply

Oooo, I hadn't noticed it until Rocco said something, but yeah, nice touch!

    Trav the bean » 4 Apr 2011 » Reply

    you do? 🙂

      Puck » 5 Apr 2011 » Reply

Yep… Shiv is at the crossroads, and needs to make a decision on where to go. The crossroads acts as a metaphor. Clever… very clever. ~ Puck

That works.

2 things first. I love how the cape flares in the last segment of this picture. That with the angle and you get almost a feeling of vertigo and great haste.
The mudtracks. They amazing in the last segement but maybe not blurry enough in the first. It might just be my perception.
Poor Siv. So much to do and so little time. And I have a little pit in my gut thinking about all the people in the Inn.

    Trav the bean » 4 Apr 2011 » Reply

🙂 Agreed about the mud- but i am not going to redo it now:)

as for siv….. yes so many choices…. the question is what would you have done? gone back or continued on?

      @Rafnasil » 4 Apr 2011 » Reply

Family, love and friends first. Always. If I can save the rest too, great but not my first priority.

Have your say!
