I don't think she really wants it to back off.
It knows where the sword is. If it did back off, it'd bring the entire goblin army back with it.

Maybe it's the angle. The last grenel we saw didn't look all that big compared to siv, but this one looks bigger than the wagon it just demolished. The huge front paws/hands are just cool.
