So many cool things happening right now. I wish I honestly had a little more time to get even more done. The biggest news is blog post

Bean vol 3: Broken Souls & kickstarter preview…

This is exactly what it means. The 3rd book of bean has a name and will start it’s kickstarter run very very soon. I felt it was important to share what the rewards were going to be early. There are some really special ones as well, including maps to the underground and the brokenmoon.

Also I am working through several other projects. Pirate Bears, Commissions and more Bean Pages. I am feeling pretty energized.

I do hope you are enjoying the story right now… and you know- lets do some Q&A today. We’ll talk bean. Ask away and I will answer as much as I can spoiler free.

Yeah, I remember when I first met you at SDCC, there were actual novels for The Bean. What is the story behind the story there? If it can be shared.

    they stemmed from the original webcomic and comic books. They story has changed very little- As for why there are no more actual novels, sometimes things just fall apart and that is what happened between 2 and 3. I took a year off and realized that i needed to follow my gut instinct and return to the format that truly made me happy. Comics. It was the right choice. One day, we will have to sit down and chat about it.

Once again..though this isn't a surprise…fantastic job! Now for my Q:
How did you come up with the story for The Bean? Where did this magical world come from? And what inspired it all?

My favorite question to ask writers..I always love hearing their stories and responses!

OK, I asked this a while back while you were ill, but today gives me the chance to re-ask 🙂

I was wondering what the significance to the World, of having a Broken Moon is. How does it affect the tides for example, but maybe more importantly is Broken Moon responsible for things like magic, dragons and elves etc? You've already hinted that Bean's world might be ours in a distant future, though maybe answering this question will givespoilers you're nt ready to let slip yet?

    the broken moon is just that – a broken moon:) it still has some gravitational pull but if that has something to do with the weave or not, the people of the broken moon are not sure. The break up of the moon happened long long ago and is now mostly legend on why it occurred as for the second question- i will still let ambiguity rule the day:)

Frustratingly excellent! My curiosity is pegged concern Thadeus. It seems that there is a deeper line to his story. More, please!
