Small setback on book 8- the scans were all bad, cause my scanner went on the fritz, during scanning. So I’ve ordered a new scanner, which ended up giving me two days off.

So what do I do on my time off? Well I gardened tonight which was quite nice, even got my lights up. It was a nice bit of family time. Hopefully tomorrow night I am going to be able do another inked piece.

So what turned out to be a bad moment, turned out to be a really calming evening. Feeling rejuivinated.

So let’s see where the pen goes tomorrow.

The excess italics are particularly odd on this page. Yet I have the same problem sometimes with very old comics. So I imagine it's possible that the problem lies with me? How are the emphasized words meant to be read?

Those butterflies keep following her around, and it makes me wonder if those flowers in her hair are perpetually blooming and smell of nectar.

I hate to say this because it sounds as though I'm just quibbling (especially because this is one of my favorite comics.) But I happen to be a nurse, and the usual wisdom is that pain is an enemy of healing — if the pain is controlled, the patient will heal better. Sorry to pick nits — and, as usual, a beautifully rendered comic! I can't wait to see what happens next.

Mercy- that's why i love ya:) i actually appreciate your comments here, it is good to be corrected:)

So- though would it be possible since they are a little backwards, that they might think a little backwards? just asking. Though if you see other things that are wrong- please let me know.

A suggestion: consider replacing the word 'pain' with 'itching'. The latter would suggest his wounds were in a late stage of healing, whereas pain would suggest infection etc. That way you can keep most of the dialogue, and beans discomfort will still make sense.

I'm flat out loving this comic so far, btw.
You're a pretty good storyteller, and I really dig your drawing style.

Don’t know if I commented before, but I had to break out of lurk mode to say – I ****ing love this scene. It’s so poignant, it almost hurts, but it’s making me smile like a loon.

You know, it must feel strange for Bean to sit (even in pain) while there are chores to be done…

i hadn't thought about that- yet i guess you are very correct in that aspect.
